playing a build
I'm sorry if its been posted before, but if so I'm too dumb to find it.
I've only played one beta weekend event so I could wait till the next one is up, but Questions left lingering isn't so healthy at times. How effective are the reinforcement points because I only used it once for an accidental point thingamajigger. The reason why is because I tried starting a Mesmer swordsman (based on illusionary weaponry {E}) but it was hard playing that role right off the bat without the skill . So would it be easily transitionable to play mesmer in certain primary attributes then switch entirely to mesmer swordsman by reducing whatever attributes to tactics? I'm still a tad confused about reinforcement points. Also if you do level up after using up all your reinforcement points. How long do they last? Is it only enough for one attribute exchange. I am terribly sorry if my post sounds dumb, weird, untangible, unreadable etc. However it is 5:34 AM and I've yet to sleep soundly at the moment. In fact if someone could sing me a lullabye that'd be pretty goot and I feel light headed and confused ..... I'm going to try to go to sleep now goodnight....err morning |

I'm assuming you're talking about refund points, which allow you to refund your attribute points to reconfigure your character. They are quite easy to come by when playing through the missions and leveling- iirc, you'll gain one every 250 experience. The cap on refund points was recently raised to 25, so you'll almost always have 25 refund points sitting around while you're leveling your character unless you frequently change your attributes around. Even if you do change your attributes a lot, you'll gain a lot of refund points every mission.
Refund points refund the attributes you spent for the highest rank in the highest rank of the attribute you're refunding. If you spent 6 attribute points to raise your illusion magic from 5 to 6, one refund point will take your illusion magic back down to 5 and give you back those 6 attribute points. They'll stick around forever until you use them, and if you do ever run out, you'll quickly regain them as you gain experience with your character.
